Since 2019, the center previously known as Little Red Wagon Pediatric Therapy has been rebranded as Goodwin Therapy Specialists. The areas of expertise include speech and feeding therapy in a clinical setting.

Goodwin Therapy Specialists is pleased to announce that the center, offering a variety of therapeutic measures for children from ages 0 to 20, has expanded its services to assist adults. From its founding in 2016, initially providing in-home speech therapy Fort Worth family services by Gabriela Goodwin operating under the name Little Red Wagon Pediatric Therapy, the agency has continued to grow and expand. From in-home services, the transition to a clinical setting has resulted in more than two hundred clients served to date. 

The broad range of services includes pediatric speech therapy, myofunctional, and occupational therapy services to children, families, and adults across the Dallas/Fort Worth area. The team approach consists of the specialists at the center, as well as working with families as they are part of the communities in which they live. The team of specialists and support staff includes Myofunctional Therapists, Feeding Therapists, Occupational Therapists, and Speech-Language Pathologists. 

The pediatric therapy specialists work with children of varying ages to provide effective solutions for problems such as slow to talk, childhood apraxia, stuttering, and other issues. Articulation and phonology disorders in children are expressed as difficulties with the way sounds are formed. Receptive or expressive language disorders related to sentencing structures, comprehension, and vocabulary. A child with this speech problem may have difficulty following directions or maintaining attention on a given task. Children may also have pragmatic and social communication problems and may not understand the rules of humor, personal boundaries, or conversational rules.

Goodwin Therapy Specialists at the Boat Club Road location offer assessments to determine what type of therapy is needed. The Lidcombe Program is focused on helping young children who stutter. At the same time, the PECS program was initially developed as a unique six-phase augmentative communication system for children along with the Autism Syndrome range.
